Use

This product may be provided exclusively or as a supplement for several psittacine birds of medium and large-sized species. It can be provided ad libitum for the genera Ara, Psittacus y Poicephalus. We recommend to restrict the formula amount to species that tend to gain weight such as the genera Amazona, Cacatua, Psittacula, Eclectus, etc. This extruded food has a highest appealing taste and nutritional value. Especially recommended for stages when the parrots have greater nutritional needs (young parrots, parrots with nutritional deficiencies, etc.). In addition, this have been formulated carefully balancing the fatty acids and Omega 6 and Omega 3 inputs.

Directions for use

It is designed to constitute 100% of the parrot's diet in non-reproductive periods. However, if fresh fruit and vegetables are provided daily to lend variety to the diet, we recommend that Omega Formula should constitute no less than 70-80% of the total intake. No vitamin or mineral supplements should be given to parrots whose basic principal food is Omega Formula. It is appropriate to renew food and water daily.
Store in a cool dry place after opening (while refrigeration is not advised, freezing is possible if it is hermetically sealed).

Daily intake

Birds consumption varies between 5% and 8% of body weight. Medium-sized species (for example, African Grey) consume around 25-40 g per day.
